Osteoblasts
Building Bones and Shaping Strength
Osteoblasts are specialized bone-forming cells responsible for synthesizing and secreting new bone matrix, called osteoid, which consists primarily of collagen and other proteins. They regulate the mineralization process by depositing calcium and phosphate to harden the matrix into mature bone tissue.
